SCHOOL EVENT FOR CHILDREN AGED 13-16

Design a T-shirt competition with a mental health message (focusing on empathy).

After designing the T-shirt they have to wear it in school for mental health awareness week.

25 from different walks of life, and varied age range

2 hr conversation over meal.

Guest speakers, mini drama, visual, positive and negative images

EXPERIENCE ANOTHER DIMENSION

Conversation about spiritual, mental health experiences, comparisons.

In: a church (King Street) or a Buddhist centre

Show a play/film/read from book (eg Carlos Casteneda or The Alchemist, The Songlines) that touches on similarity of spiritual and mental health experiences (to set mood).

Small (v.small 1-1) exchanges – dynamically, ie change partners.

MOVING PEOPLE “ENJOY THE JOURNEY!”

A play on a train from Norwich to Lowestoft or Cromer.

Professional Actors and Community Project exploring issues of judging others – confiding in strangers, common ground etc.

A DAY IN ‘MY SHOES’ (R U MAN ENOUGH)

Props: shoes – various styles and sizes

Around Chapelfield

Exchange shoes at a different venue. Give to person who has experienced mental health.

Various points with ladies’ shoes being shown in a fashion show(rugby shirts, football)

Event – Fashion Show – girls displaying shoes

“Group” to attract – Lads Group

Match a pair of shoes (put a ray on the shoe) to a case history (then look for the case history)

Sponsorship from local shoe shop

Swap a ticket for a pair of shoes
